Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 24, 2026

1. General

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how CurioSea Pte. Ltd., doing business as "Catchi" (“Catchi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you visit our promotional website at https://catchi.ai (the “Site”), or when you otherwise interact with us in connection with us at the Site.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Site or by providing us with your email address or other information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If there are any terms in this Privacy Policy that you do not agree with, please discontinue the use of the Site immediately. Beyond the Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our Terms of Service.

About Catchi App and this Site

Catchi App is an English-learning application currently in pre-release testing. The Site provides information about Catchi and ways to participate in the beta testing program. It allows you to:

  1. Learn about Catchi’s features and highlights;
  2. Register your interest in beta testing or, where direct beta access is available, follow the links to join the beta program without first submitting your email address. You may optionally provide your email address to receive beta updates and invitations to share feedback; and
  3. Access links to third-party community platforms (for example, Discord and Facebook) where you may join our community.

Availability of direct beta access depends on the testing platform, eligibility requirements, capacity, and any instructions we provide. When direct access is not available, you may register your interest for a later invitation. We or our designated operator may contact you by email or through a community platform you choose to join with beta access information, product updates, or invitations to provide feedback or participate in interviews. Any rewards are for participation in testing and feedback, not for submitting an email address alone.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Email address. You may voluntarily submit your email address to register your interest in the Catchi beta testing program and to receive product updates and beta invitations.
  • Community account information. If you join our Discord or Facebook community, we may use your nickname, username, profile identifier, and other information you make available to us through that platform to identify you, communicate with you, and invite you to further discussions or interviews.
  • Communications, feedback, and interviews. We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you contact us, share feedback, respond to a survey, or participate in a discussion or interview about Catchi.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we or our service providers may process technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring pages, pages viewed, and interactions with the Site. When you submit your email address, the Site also sends your browser language, time zone, and page language, where available, and records the registration time. We use PostHog for website analytics, including page views, button clicks, and other usage and interaction data.

We may use the Reddit Pixel and related Reddit advertising tools. Depending on how those tools are configured, Reddit may collect or receive advertising and device identifiers, Reddit click IDs, IP addresses, user-agent information, screen dimensions, referring and current page URLs, page and event metadata, and actions such as page visits, registrations, or other conversion events. Where advanced matching is enabled, Reddit may also receive contact identifiers, such as an email address, in hashed form.

We use this information to understand how the Site is used and to improve our content and services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Beta testing recruitment and access. To process your expression of interest, manage beta participation, provide access information, and send related instructions and notices. Where direct beta links are available, submitting your email address on the Site is optional.
  • Rewards and incentives. To administer and notify you of rewards for participation in beta testing and feedback, such as a free membership. Submitting an email address alone does not qualify you for a reward.
  • Beta updates and user research. To send you relevant beta or product updates and invite you to provide feedback, take part in discussions, or participate in interviews.
  • Advertising, measurement, and audience development. To measure and attribute advertising results, optimize ad delivery, create or exclude advertising audiences, retarget Site visitors, and show relevant Catchi advertisements on Reddit.
  • Community engagement. To facilitate your participation in our communities and to communicate with you through the community platforms you choose to join.
  • Site operation and improvement. To operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site, our products, and our services.
  • Security and legal compliance. To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or other harmful activity; and to comply with applicable legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Consent. Where you have given consent, for example when you voluntarily submit your email address to receive beta updates or invitations to provide feedback. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests. Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as operating and improving the Site, understanding how the Site is used, protecting against fraud, and communicating with you about the beta program in ways you would reasonably expect — provided such interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Compliance with legal obligations. Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps. Where processing is necessary in connection with your participation in the beta testing program.

5. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for website hosting and related infrastructure and data storage, PostHog for website analytics, and the mainland China version of Feishu for internal signup notifications and coordination. Signup notifications sent to Feishu include the submitted email address, browser language, time zone, page language, and registration time, where available. Our team also uses email services to send messages manually. These providers process information to supply their respective services to us.
  • Advertising partners. We may disclose the advertising, device, usage, and conversion information described in Section 2.2 to Reddit through the Reddit Pixel and related advertising tools for advertising measurement, attribution, delivery, optimization, audience creation, and retargeting.
  • Community platforms. Where you choose to join our community on a third-party platform, that platform will process information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any community platform you join.
  • Corporate transactions. In connection with, or during negotiations of, a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal requirements. Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses local storage to remember a language preference you select. PostHog and other analytics technologies may process usage events and related technical information to help us understand how the Site is used.

The Reddit Pixel and related advertising tools may use cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies to recognize a browser or device, measure advertising results, attribute conversions, optimize ad delivery, and support audience creation and retargeting on Reddit.

You can clear saved website data or control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset your saved language preference and may limit advertising measurement or personalization. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain consent before activating non-essential cookies or similar storage technologies.

7. Data Retention

We generally retain personal information while it supports the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may retain your email address while you remain interested in the beta program or subscribed to our communications.

We may retain information for longer where appropriate to operate or improve our services, protect our legitimate interests or those of others, comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, investigate misuse or security incidents, or enforce our agreements. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information for any lawful purpose.

8. International Data Transfers

Our Site is hosted in the United States, and our hosting infrastructure processes and stores information in the United States. Authorized team members in China, Singapore, Switzerland, and Canada may also access personal information for the purposes described in this Policy. We use the mainland China version of Feishu for internal signup notifications, so information included in those notifications is also transferred to and processed through that service in China. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live, and the applicable data protection laws may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. This section describes those rights and how to exercise them.

Regardless of whether a particular state privacy law applies to the Company, we currently accept reasonable requests to access, export, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to verification, technical feasibility, the rights of others, and legal exceptions. Where an applicable U.S. state privacy law applies, you may also have additional rights, including to confirm processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent for certain sensitive processing, appeal a privacy-request decision, and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination. Please see Section 16 for additional U.S. state disclosures.

Submit a request through an available in-product control or by emailing feedback@catchi.ai. We may verify identity and authority, including an authorized agent.

Any free membership or other beta reward is offered for participation in testing and feedback. Submitting your email address alone does not qualify you for a reward. Further terms for any reward will be communicated to participants.

10. Email Communications and Your Choices

Our team may contact you by email about beta access, relevant updates, feedback, and interviews. You may ask us to stop these communications at any time by:

  • Replying to an email from us and asking us to stop contacting you; or
  • Emailing feedback@catchi.ai using the contact details in Section 15.

Our team handles these requests manually. We do not currently provide an automated unsubscribe link. After receiving your request, we will stop the communications you have asked us to stop. We may still send messages necessary to respond to your request or address legal, security, or administrative matters where permitted by law.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site and the Catchi beta testing program are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 (or such other minimum age required by applicable law, including 13 in the United States). If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including community platforms (such as Discord and Facebook). This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site and to Catchi’s own processing. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party website or service you visit or use.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the “Effective Date” or “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy and, where appropriate, by other means such as a notice on the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Site after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
